Ceficthe European Chemical Industry Council, is both the forum and voice of the European chemical industry. It aims to maintain and develop a prosperous chemical industry in Europe by promoting the best possible economic, social and environmental conditions to bring benefits to society.
Cefic is located in Auderghem and employs more than 160 people.
For its department Fine, Specialty and Consumer Chemicals (FSCC) , Cefic is looking for a (M/F):
 Sector Group Counsellor 
Responsibilities
  • Gathering, analysing and interpreting all data relevant to the item and develop the expertise’s output (advice, position, conference, publication,…) in order to allow the owner of the item to prepare the industry’s overall response;
  • Participating in order to define the respective contribution, required sources, objectives and timetable;
  • Contributing to the implementation and evaluation of the actions being taken in order to obtain an optimal result;
  • Ensuring own development of expertise through reading, participation in forums, seminars, etc. in order to ensure all times “state of the art” support that will be provided to all members;
  • Maintaining contact with professional bodies that focus on the expertise area to ensure Cefic’s position;
  • Ensuring that timelines and quality specifications are respected at all times in order to contribute to the optimal functioning of the organization.
 Skills & competencies
  • University degree with relevant experience in area of expertise;
  • Good understanding of the chemical industry, the socio-economic and international environment;
  • Excellent level in English (both spoken and written), other European languages are an asset;
  • Good communication skills with ability to speak clearly and concisely, to express ideas and concepts in writing;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make concise summaries;
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient project management skills;
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office package);
