Senior communication contract Manager


ESN is looking for a full-time Senior communication contract Manager to work from its central-Brussels offices to help the company extend its reach and its service offering in both traditional and new market segments.
The successful candidate will report to the Account Management Director. The interview process will include a practical test.

Mission

Your job will be to manage major accounts/clients, from offer preparation to delivery. It will include designing and monitoring the parameters of cost, timescale, quality and methodology for the communication products/solutions to be implemented by ESN.
Tasks will include:
  • Prospecting market for opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Development and presentation of new communication products and services
  • Meetings with clients/prospects to discuss/define their needs/requirements
  • Elaboration of communication products/solutions and corresponding budgets
  • Handling sales leads and technical proposals
  • Budget follow-up and client reporting
In developing offers, you will be supported both by ESN’s business development department and by the technical experts in charge of each production team (competence centre). With the support of the project manager(s), you will assure the client’s full satisfaction with the execution of each contract, the delivery of outstanding communication tools/solutions, and the integration of new learnings in commercial support materials.

Profile

We are looking for a self-starter who is creative, dependable, well-organised and meticulous, able to establish long-term, cooperative relationships with clients and to motivate ESN’s Project managers and production staff. Candidates should have a strong background in large-scale communication projects and a sound understanding of modern communication practices and technologies.
Essential characteristics (please do not apply unless you match all of these):
  • Minimum four years successful communication experience in a commercial environment
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of a broad range of modern communication tools and approaches, including digital
  • The ability to synthesise complex information and produce clear, realistic and well-written project proposals and specifications
  • The confidence to handle high-level client contacts
  • A strong commercial instinct
  • Diplomacy and excellent people skills
  • Good presentational skills
  • A relevant Bachelors degree
  • Very good written and spoken English, and at least conversational French or Flemish
Desirable characteristics
  • Knowledge of other EU languages
  • Familiarity with the structures, policies and procedures of the EU institutions
  • Relevant Masters degree
