Job Summary

​Cardno is seeking a Civil Design Project Manager experienced in managing urban development design projects to join our multi-disciplinary Civil Infrastructure and Delivery Team located in our St Leonards Office.  Cardno focuses on empowering individuals to work as a team and to deliver projects of a high standard in an environment of continuous improvement.  Cardno provides an attractive working environment that can also lead to career path opportunities locally, nationally and overseas.

Key Responsibilities

• ​Design Project Management for civil, urban development projects.
• Leading and organising projects and teams, managing the people, the design and documentation, the service quality and the program.
• Financial management of projects.  Ensure company and client commitments and expectations are managed appropriately to the given budget.
• Support of and leadership in a client-centric team culture and a focus on effective project delivery to time, cost and quality expectations.
• Promotion and endorsement of an environment of continuous improvement.
• Approach all situations with a positive attitude and a focus on achieving outcomes.

Other Requirements

• ​A minimum of 10 years local experience.
• An engineering or associated complementary tertiary qualification.
• Local experience in project managing civil design for urban development projects.
• Experience in Civil Engineering design essential.
• Proven ability in leadership, situation management and negotiating skills in order to effectively create outcomes.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills assisting in maintaining positive relationships when liaising with staff and clients.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to lead a team of engineers, designer and drafters.
• Strong attention to detail and motivation to produce high quality outputs.
• Desire to concentrate on producing and delivering professional services to a high standard of quality, working effectively and efficiently.
• Desire to solve problems and create innovative outcomes to meet client needs.
• Desire to work face-to-face with other staff and clients as part of a multi-disciplinary team to produce and deliver outcomes with a positive attitude.
