Due to continued growth, Cardno AUS are currently seeking a Surveying Apprentice / Trainee based in our Riverstone office in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate who is seeking to develop a career in Surveying and/or Utilities within a renowned multidisciplinary company.  No experience is required and we will provide on the job training and support to assist you in developing your career. ​

Key Responsibilities

• ​Achieving competency in the use of AutoCAD;
• Developing skills and experience in the documentation of utility mapping;
• Providing drafting and technical assistance to the managers through the production of drawings to a high standard;
• Undertaking allocated surveying tasks under the supervision of project managers;
• Undertaking required field work to ensure projects are completed within the required timeframes;
• Undertaking general office duties, including errands, deliveries/collections and other duties;
• Other ad hoc duties as required.

Other Requirements

• ​Currently studying/or is interested in starting a diploma in Surveying;
• Seeking to enhance their career within the surveying industry;
• Good communication skills;
• Long term career goals.

The successful applicant does not need to be currently studying a Diploma or Certificate in Surveying, however, will need to have a keen interest in developing their career within this industry. This position will provide you with the kick start to your career with long term career opportunities available to the successful applicant including training to assist you whilst completing your diploma.
