The Role
SMEC is looking for a capable and enthusiastic Communications and Marketing Consultant to work in their Melbourne-based Corporate Division. With a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position, you will play a key role in:
- Developing and maintaining a professional suite of marketing and business development material (capability statements, brochures, flyers, banners, templates, etc.)
- Developing and implementing internal and external communications initiatives (e-marketing campaign, company e-newsletter, etc.)
- Developing and implementing business improvement initiatives (knowledge sharing, etc.)
- Managing the continuous improvement of the SMEC website and intranet
- Managing industry award submissions
- Coordinating conferences and events
- Managing social media (currently LinkedIn)
- Managing advertisements
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- 5+ years marketing and communications experience
- Tertiary qualified in business management or marketing
- Demonstrated experience in developing marketing and business development material
- Demonstrated experience in writing professional corporate communications
- Demonstrated experience in managing the Content Management System for a website
- Demonstrated experience in managing industry award submissions
- Demonstrated experience in event management
- Demonstrated experience in developing advertising campaigns
- Demonstrated experience in working with Graphic Designers
- Demonstrated knowledge of the print production process
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint 2010
- Basic understanding of Adobe InDesign CS5 / CS6 and InCopy.
