Organizational Setting and Reporting
The internship in the Learning, Leadership and Organizational Development Section of the Office of Human Resources Management of the Department of Management is for two months, with possibility of extension up to six months pending the Section's needs.
The internship is UNPAID and full-time.
Interns work five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the Section to which they are assigned.
Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background and on the projects of the Section, the intern's assigned office as well as the internship period. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Researching and compiling information relevant to the projects performed by the Section
- Contributing ideas to the projects newly performed by the Section
- Drafting and preparing official documents and web-presentation, primarily using MS office
- Coordinating events such as meetings, training and information sessions held by the Section
- Managing and analyzing surveys
- Analysing and evaluating reports, projects and training programmes
- Developing online materials for training
- Assistance in most of the daily work of the Section

Education
- Applicants must be enrolled in a degree programme in a graduate school (second university degree or higher);
- or if pursuing their studies in countries where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages, have completed at least four years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a degree.
- Be computer literate in standard software applications.
- Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideas of the Charter; and
- Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
Work Experience
- Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for participation in the programme.
