Maintenance Planner (CHPP)

Based at Lake Vermont in Central Queensland and reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will schedule and plan maintenance for all fixed plant equipment in the coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) to original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
In this role, you will:
- Plan the scheduled servicing and maintenance of equipment ensuring compliance with all safety and statutory requirements;
- Monitor and maintain accuracy of equipment maintenance history, records and technical information on the on-site Maintenance Management System;
- Develop maintenance plans using equipment strategies to facilitate maximum production and minimal costs;
- Use the Maintenance Management System to generate Planned Maintenance and Major Component repair cost budgets;
- Ensure scheduling of Services and Maintenance repairs are kept current;
- Liaise with internal and external suppliers to ensure that all parts and materials required to effect repairs/services are available at the scheduled times;
- Monitor and Maintain unit known work list Defect Reporting System and the on-site Condition Analysis Systems to ensure information is used to update the maintenance and service schedules;
- Maintain the on-site Major Component Hour's spreadsheet;
- Minimise plant costs though continually investigating alternative suppliers for competitive pricing.
What you'll need:
You will require extensive maintenance experience in CHPP and an advanced understanding of computerised maintenance systems. You will also possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with key internal and external clients and will demonstrate the ability to deliver on time maintenance of all equipment.
You will also require:
- A mechanical trade certificate, or engineering tertiary qualifications
- Previous experience with operational CHPP in a mining environment;
- Knowledge of job specific computer programs essential (JDE preferred).
