The Site
The Burton coal project is a two hour drive inland from the coastal city of Mackay and Thiess is the statutory mine operator, with a contract in place since 1996.
The role
We are currently looking for a motivated and energetic Mining Supervisor to make a positive contribution towards best practice production delivery at our Burton Coal Project.
You will be responsible for delivering and exceeding production KPI targets in a safe and efficient manner. You will have a strong focus on achieving results and actively seek continuous improvement, driving a culture of safety with like-minded professional mining employees and liaise with other mining departments in the achievement of the site's objectives.

You will possess open-cut coal mining experience in a similar role, with qualifications that support your success. Proven leadership skills, excellent communication, approachability and motivational qualities are required. Foremost you will be responsible for your team's safety.
Strong attention to detail, demonstrated initiative and a dedicated commitment to supporting and driving your team's performance will see you as the successful candidate.
