Position Summary
Manager Ports and Terminals is accountable for maintaining a proactive Marine Operations relationship with all marine terminals and ports where BGLS has dedicated supply or discharge rights, (Atlantic LNG, Lake Charles, Elba Island, Idku, Punta Europa, Dragon LNG, GNL Quintero, Singapore LNG and similar future terminals) and in addition all LNG terminals that BG either loads or discharges at including STS operations, in order to achieve safe and economic marine operations.As BG’s global oil portfolio increases then the incumbent will also be responsible, along with his team, to provide terminal advice for all oil operations. When incidents occur at applicable marine terminals, the Manager Terminal Operations will be the interface between the marine terminal and BGLS Operations, ensuring that all issues are satisfactorily resolved and lessons learnt are passed on to relevant parties to avoid a re-occurrence. This position will be located in Singapore as part of the Marine Operations Asia Region, but will have extended team members located in both Europe and Americas. The role will involve regular international travel and. will work with internal and external contacts including: Marine Operations, S & O, LNG terminals, LNG Carriers (Bareboat Chartered, Time Chartered and Ex Ship), Agents, Port Authorities, Pilots and Towage companies. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Key Accountabilities
1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESa. Maintain proactive relationships at all applicable Marine Terminals, Towage Companies, Pilots and Port Authorities to ensure safe and economic marine operations. b. Provide expert advice to Marine Operations and S&O regarding all aspects of Port and Terminal Operations including but not limited to Ship/Shore interface, Conditions of Use, Pilotage and Towage. c. To advise Global LNG Shipping of any issues that could affect Global LNG’s reputation. d. Proactively aid in identifying cost cutting measures and develop and implement plans to reduce cost and improve efficiency within all aspects of shipping operations at applicable Marine Terminals. 2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES a. Interface between BGLS operations and applicable Marine Terminals, Towage Companies, Pilots and Port Authorities with regard to incidents ensuring that all issues are satisfactorily resolved and that lessons learnt are passed on to relevant parties to keep them from reoccurring. b. Promote a positive safety culture by actively participating with applicable Marine Terminals, Towage Companies, Pilots and Port Authorities in development and implementation and enforcement of safety procedures around the berth and port. c. Responsible for ship/shore interface plan for commissioning cargoes for new LNGC receiving terminals and understand the LNG Terminal safety procedures and requirements including emergency response d. Responsible for ensuring Ship Shore Compatibilities for Owned and Chartered vessels completed and any issues identified and resolved e. Represent Global LNG Shipping with local and international organizations in order to maintain good relationships that enhance safe and cost efficient operations: f. Contribute to the success of Global LNG shipping through positive and energetic involvement in the activities of the shipping leadership team. g. Participate with the Marine Assurance Team with audits of Terminals and Towage Companies as required e.g. Pre-Start up audits. h. Review and assist with Shipping issues for S&O and BGLS for Charter/Owner instructions, SPA’s, TUA’s, COU’s etc. i. Responsible for negotiations of respective new towage contracts to meet BGLS’s obligations. j. Assist Marine Projects with the development of new terminals and be the prime contact for the transition from Projects to Operations. k. Assist with technical review of BGLS new build ships. l. Ensure impact of new legislation relating to the role is assessed and relevant advice given to stakeholder as to any changes required.. m. Familiar with all aspects of jetty/loading arm equipment including relevant industry guidance on operations. n. Provide advice to Terminals on Training and Competency Assurance. o. Provide operational advice on LNG measurement and Custody Transfer

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Needed:
• Maritime or related degree required, or equivalent
• Achievement of Captain or Chief Engineer license is preferred but not essential – and will dependent upon overall terminal experience. • Combination of 5 years in LNG shipping and / or port management. • Must have good communication skills, and must demonstrate effective organizational skills in order to work with global and regional teams. • Significant experience in Marine, Terminal and Port activities • Firm understanding of budgetary procedures and cost analysis Specialist Knowledge/Languages:
