Job Purpose | To lead the team responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of the Safety and Service Training equipment.
To ensure that the Safety and Service Training equipment is aligned with the requirements of the EY Training Department. |
Responsibilities |
- Ensure maintenance manpower is effectively deployed to maintain efficient operation of the Safety and Service Training equipment.
- Ensure that the maintenance team is informed, aligned and well-motivated by conducting regular 121s with each team member
- Ensure that the maintenance team is adequately trained in the required skills.
- Ensure that the equipment fully satisfies Regulatory and quality requirements.
- Ensure that training equipment and associated training areas are safe at all times
- Support the preparation of the annual budget and ensure effective cost control within area of responsibility.
- Produce monthly KPIs which clearly demonstrate both team and equipment performance.
- Assist with the planning of new equipment procurements and oversee modifications and updates to the existing equipment.
- Manage related support and warranty agreements
- Provide and subject matter guidance and support to the training planning & delivery teams

Requirements | Qualification & Education:
- Higher National or equivalent
Experience:
- The job holder should have at least 10 years previous experience, gained in a simulation related field, with at least three of these years in a supervisory position. The job holder should also possess an in-depth understanding of the specialised requirements associated with the support of aviation Safety and Service Training Equipment.
Training & Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of simulation techniques
- Good understanding of the relevant aircrew training requirements
- Good understanding of Quality and Safety Systems
- Good understanding of Procurement, Budget and Cost Control systems
