Job Purpose Responsible for oversight and maintenance of the EY STD Operator Approval. Responsible for the planning and implementation of all internal Quality Control processes and activities associated with the support of the Training Equipment & Facilities. Responsibilities Overall responsibility for the planning, implementation and follow-up of simulator Subjective quality control checks (SFTs). Overall responsibility for the planning, implementation and follow-up of simulator Objective quality control checks (QTG verification). Overall responsibility for the development, maintenance and implementation of Quality Procedures and Work Instructions with the aim of ensuring day to day compliance with regulations and safe operation of the Training Devices & Facilities. Overall responsibility for the timely generation of follow-up reports for external Regulators and internal Auditors Develop and implement effective quality control procedures for equipment and facilities which fall outside the scope of the STD Operator Approval. Liaise with Regulators regarding planning and scheduling of the annual equipment and quality system audits Liaise with EY Quality Assurance team regarding the scheduling and implementation of the internal audit plan for the Training Department. Ensure that all Training Device approval certificates & documents are valid at all times Generate monthly KPIs which measure the performance of the quality control systems Provide planning and subject matter support during the evaluation of external simulators & training facilities. Requirements Qualification & Education: Higher National or equivalent Experience:  The job holder should have at least 10 years’ experience, gained in a commercial simulator training environment, ideally working under JAA / EASA regulations. The job holder must have an in-depth understanding of both the qualification process for flight simulators and the quality control systems, required to support the STD Operator Approval. Training & Knowledge: In-depth understanding of STD Operator Approval regulations & requirements In-depth understanding of Quality and Safety Systems Good understanding of Flight Simulator operational requirements and technical capabilities.
