RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: |
Successful candidate will assist with the development of government-required submissions, including incurred cost and disclosure statements and liaise with DCAA and other government regulators. Direct report to the Director, Regulatory Compliance and may supervise one or two staff accountants.
This position requires experience in the following areas:
- Possess working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) cost principles, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Agency FAR Supplements, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Assist in the preparation of the annual incurred cost audit submission(s) and the subsequent audit support of previously prepared submissions
- Use audit techniques and experience to analyze costs, evaluate internal controls in support of government audits and investigations
- Participate in the development and revisions to compliance policies and procedures and the CASB Disclosure Statement(s)
- Prepare draft responses to contract audit reports and other regulatory compliance related matters
- Working knowledge of Deltek CostPoint
- Possess the ability to use a variety of electronic business and software tools to obtain, organize, and present relevant business data for management
- Participate in the compliance training program as an instructor/content manager
- Support labor accounting compliance through participation in time reporting-related projects, monitoring, and testing
- Participate in meetings with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) representatives

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS: |
- BS/BA in relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Management etc.)
- Requires at least ten (10+) years of relevant experience with government compliance, accounting and/or audit experience
Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Deltek CostPoint
Ability to use Report Writer Tools for data mining or research
Strong writing and communication skills
Possess the ability to work with various internal functional groups, e.g., accounting, legal, human resources, contracts, pricing, accounts payable, and internal audit
General understanding of the areas subject to audit by DCAA at a major contractor location

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: |
- Ability to obtain a government clearance
- Masters degree/advanced degree and/or CPA preferred
