Short-term consultancy assignment 'Involving youth in SRHR'
‘Involving youth in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights via new technologies’
for the international Access, Services and Knowledge (ASK) programme
The Youth Empowerment Alliance (Rutgers WPF -lead agent-, AMREF Flying Doctors, CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality, dance4life, IPPF, Simavi, STOP AIDS NOW! and 59 partners in seven countries in Africa and Asia) is looking for a consultant who can support the YEA in making a joint agenda for the design and use of E- and Mobile-Health interventions in their ASK programme.
Expected outputs of this assignment:
- A mapping of the current E- and M-health initiatives and ambitions of the different Alliance members and their implementing partners.
- Link this mapping to state of the art examples by organizing an expert meeting/ workshop to explore how E- and M-health strategies can contribute to realizing the ASK programmatic goals.
- A roadmap that reflects the consultants’ recommendations on next steps the YEA should take to extend current / incorporate new E- and M-health initiatives.
Profile:
The interested party/ consultant should have the following skills and characteristics:
- A broad level of expertise in the field of E- and M-health related to educational/ behaviour change: up-to-date knowledge of best practices
- Capability to deliver independent, goal-oriented recommendations
- Knowledge on- and experience with creating direct information provision interventions via new technologies
- Existing network in African and / or Asian countries of technical service providers working in the area of ICT4D
- Preferably experienced in the working-context of an international Alliance
- Proven track record in coordination of the development of organisational strategies, preferably with development organisations working in the area of SRHR in Africa and Asia
