Grameen America is a leading nonprofit microfinance organization headquartered in New York. Its mission is to alleviate poverty through entrepreneurship by offering loans, savings programs, credit establishment, and financial services to low-income families and individuals in the U.S. Grameen America is built upon the success and experienced staff of the Grameen Bank of Bangladesh, which was created by Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
About the Job: 
Grameen America is seeking a Development Manager. S/he will support the development team of the New York office and will be responsible for grant writing, data management, research, and project-based work.
Tasks and Responsibilities: 
  • Identifying and researching new prospects, locally, regionally, and nationally ;
  • Maintaining all fundraising related data in CRM system (Salesforce);
  • Drafting grant proposals and funder reports;
  • Composing and sending donor acknowledgement letters and other funder correspondence.
Qualifications: 
  • Must have a Bachelors' degree;
  • At least 2 years of experience in fundraising position;
  • Excellent written communication;
  • Strong computer skills, must be proficient in Powerpoint, Word, and Excel;
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects independently and complete an assignment timely and accurately;
  • Salesforce or other CRM skills are a plus.
