Sustainability Coordinator

Job Title: Sustainability Coordinator
Type: Contract, 3 years Location: Oaxaca, Mexico Supervisor: Program Manager
Job Purpose: The primary function is to support sustainability initiatives through development, coordination and facilitation of collaborative efforts and establishing partnerships; developing and delivering training and outreach; tracking performance metrics; preparing reports; and, grant writing.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Program Management and Evaluation • Facilitate the mobilization of organizations and communities members in order to ensure their conscious and active involvement in development initiatives in their communities • Educate leaders and community members as to the needs of the area with an emphasis in water and sanitation • Facilitate the development of community structures for community managed WASH systems • Systematize successful experiences of community development by local associations
Representation • Represent Living Water to government officials, project partners, churches, NGOs, media, academic institutions and donors • Facilitate relations between local organizations and other development institutions to create the necessary synergy to community development • Advocacy and Communication • Coach local associations for concrete and community development activities to tangible results • Train community volunteers/animators to coach local groups of reflection and actions
Financial Management • Ensure budget conforms to donor requirements
Spiritual Leadership • Exhibit spiritual maturity, integrity and a dynamic personal sense of life calling. • Influences staff towards a shared Living Water mission • Attend and participate in spiritual nurture meetings/devotions as scheduled

Minimum Education / Experience: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical field experience • Training in Local Development or Social Sciences. Minimum level: Certificate • 2+ years’ experience in development / Community Organization • Familiarity with community health networks • Candidate must have ability to form effective interpersonal relationships with others at various levels of technical expertise, possess initiatives and be capable of working independently or in collaboration with others, with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to travel on motorcycle and/or drive vehicles • Working knowledge of local language
