Child Protection Manager- Jordan

Job Description: Program development and related support • Take the lead on monitoring child protection case management services currently provided in IMC’s areas of operation in the North of Jordan and Amman; • Assist program officers and the M&E unit in the development of logical frame works combining all activities into one M&E plan which meet or exceed donor indicators; • Assist in concept note development or proposal development as needed; • Conduct regular chart audits and reviews of Best Interest Assessments (BIA), and Best Interest Determination (BID) as needed. Capacity Building & Interagency referrals • Take lead on the oversight of the National Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) inclusive of interagency referrals; • Assist in the role out of training for IMC case management teams, volunteers, and partner organizations on foundations of case management course; • Assist in the design and the finalization of case management curriculum in emergency settings; • Coach, mentor and monitor training participants on foundations of case management course guided by the core competencies of case management services; • Provide updates on the referral process to MHPSS working group and child protection working group monthly; Monitoring & Evaluation • Liaise with the M&E unit to track child protection services using electronic data base system (Activity-Info) and the CPIMS; • Execute regular trend analysis of case management data
Requirements: • Knowledge and experience of Psychosocial programming in the humanitarian context • Familiarity with IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support In Emergency Settings • Child Protection training experience on global standards; • Experience using the Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS) • Good understanding of Arab culture and regional politics • Strong organizational and supervisory skills • Monitoring and evaluation experience • Preferred: Advanced degree in Social Work preferred LMSW or LISW, Psychology, Counseling or other related fields. • Minimum of 3 years field experience in case management is mandatory. • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in project management from which at least 3 years in humanitarian sector in emergency and /or in refugee camps with national or international organizations preferred in child protection and child rights. • Experience in management of teams (5 people minimum) • Counseling and training experience with a reputable organization, including experience in counseling survivors of abuse or violence. • Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel. • Ability to communicate in English and capacity to write clear and concise reports in English.
