Job Title: Community Development Promoter
Type: Contract, 2 years Location: Oaxaca, Mexico Supervisor: Program Manager
Job Purpose: The primary function is to facilitate the mobilization of community-based organizations (CBO) around the community needs in order to ensure their conscious and active involvement in local development initiatives.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: • Educate leaders and community members in methodologies to assess the needs of their community with an emphasis in water and sanitation; • Mobilize communities around water issues and local development; • Facilitate the development of community structures for effective management of WASH activities as part of local development process; • Identify community volunteers for training in community organization and community development;
• Mobilize communities to plan and prepare for community participation with LWI hardware staff to implement the clean water solution; • Coordinate the training of the water committees for the effective management of the water points; • Facilitate the inter-actions of the water committees with other institutions for complimentary activities in the community; • Other duties as assigned to support the successful implementation of the program.

Minimum Education / Experience: • College’s degree in relevant field • Training in Community Development or Social Sciences or relevant field • At least 3 years of experience in community-based development activities • 2+ years’ experience in the WASH sector • Computer Skills: Word and Excel • Proficient in written and spoken Spanish and English • Valid driver license for motorbike
