Regional Chief Controller – Benin

People management in an international organisation

You will report to BØRNEfonden’s Africa Operation Director and the Finance Department in Copenhagen, and you will have the overall responsibility of ensuring optimal financial controlling of the organisation’s activities and projects in Benin, Togo, Mali, Burkina Faso and Cape Verde. You will be located in Benin and your responsibilities will include staff management of a total of eight controllers (four in RO Benin and four in the respective countries). Working closely together with the Regional Director in Benin and the Finance Department in Denmark, you will have focus on both the operational and strategic level. You will be the driving force in controlling, maintaining and developing the existing controlling concept, the control systems and standard operating procedures. Furthermore, you will work proactively on securing compliance with accounting standards and procedures and the continuous improvement of internal controls and accounting quality.

You should expect approximately 60 travel days per year, primarily to the countries in the region.

Driven and experienced controller who wants to make a difference

You hold a relevant degree at bachelor’s or master’s level and you master the disciplines that the position entails. This includes financial and project controlling, financial procedures and reporting, compliance etc. You have experience from an organisation with activities in Africa and some years of management experience either as staff manager or team leader. Furthermore, it is a must that you are fluent in oral and written French and English.

With your solid analytical skills, strong business understanding, and methodical and proactive way of working, you deliver value to and development in your organisation.
