Job Purpose: The primary function is to manage and provide technical supervision in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the respected water projects. Supervise the drilling operations, rehabilitation of wells, purchase of equipment, materials and ensure constructions of alternate water systems are carried out as per schedule.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: • Responsible for the project assessment of community needs, project design, implementation, evaluation and drilling/construction operations management for the communities directly covered by LWI. • Preparation and submission of monthly field financial reports as required. • Oversee the drilling/hardware construction of LWI partners to ensure their compliance to LWI standards. • Plan, organize and implement drilling/hardware construction optimizing production and ensuring that they are completed according to plan, budget and per time line.
• Able to communicate technical information to donors in a clear, concise manner. • Communicates in a culturally and socially sensitive manner. • Recruit, manage and supervise local staff hired by LWI for the drilling operations and repairs required of any existing wells. • Provide training to staff and volunteers in safe performance of their duties and proper care of equipment maintenance. • Implement safety measures and regularly monitor them for irregularities. • Manage inventory on parts and equipment. • Participate in annual operating plan preparation including; design, needs assessment, proposal writing, marketing, evaluation and reporting. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager for the benefit of the project.

Project Management • Track progress closely and alert LWI should there be any significant project challenges • Ensure compliance with grant requirements and LWI standards
Representation • Serve a LWI representative to community • Develop and maintain productive relationships with other organizations involved in drilling and rehabilitation of wells and other water systems.
Advocacy and Communication • Create awareness of Living Water program both within and outside of Living Water
Spiritual Leadership • Influences staff towards a shared Living Water mission • Attend and participate in spiritual nurture meetings/devotions as schedule

Minimum Education / Experience: • University Degree in water engineering, environment management or a relevant field • 2-4 years of technical coordination experience in developing country • 2+ years’ experience in the WASH sector • Highly proficient in written and spoken Spanish and English
