Cardno ENTRIX is seeking a well-qualified Project Scientist to work with a multidisciplinary team of accomplished biologists, ecologists, environmental scientists, engineers, economists and planners specifically on projects for Oil and Gas clients in Alaska. Support for other Oil and Gas projects throughout the U.S. may also be required.

Support for other Oil and Gas projects throughout the U.S. may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Permit application preparation
- Permit tracking using Excel or Access
- Client and regulatory agency coordination
- Proposal/report writing; cost estimating
- Other project and permitting support duties as needed
Other Requirements
Basic Qualifications:

- B.S. degree or higher in geology, biology, environmental science, engineering, or related natural science field
- 6 - 10 years of relevant post-degree experience supported by course work and training in environmental science
- Experience in and basic knowledge of permitting and compliance for Alaska Oil and Gas Industries, including understanding of wastewater discharge permitting and oil discharge prevention and contingency plans
- Additional experience in one or more of the following areas: data analysis, GIS applications, and data interpretation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel to field sites and other Cardno ENTRIX office locations throughout Alaska and possibly North America
- Ability to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary group in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
- Prior experience in consulting or Oil and Gas industry in Alaska
- Prior experience with permitting Oil and Gas facilities, preferably in Alaska
- Knowledge of regulatory structure and regulations for Oil and Gas exploration and development in Alaska
- Experience working in remote locations, particularly in Alaska and with Alaska Native communities
- Self motivated; strong initiative
- Solid time management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks/projects with tight deadlines
- MS Project a plus
