The organisation

This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in the delivery of an international private equity fund designed to invest in sustainable and ethical business development in emerging markets.

The fund is a new initiative, part of the investment activity of a well-established Family Office and is concentrated on energy, IT, telecommunications and infrastructure. The geographical focus is currently on Africa, the Middle East and the Far East.

The role

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer and with regular access to the Family Office owners, the fund principals – and spending time at various overseas locations - your role will be to ensure that the fund’s investments are managed in compliance with its aims in terms of risk and ethics. This is a critical role in which you will develop and maintain relationships at senior levels with investment partners, local businesses, politicians and regulators. 

The right person

The role will appeal to those with an active interest in international business and commercial management. You will have gained a few years’ experience post university, but are now reflecting on your career and where it may take you. Maybe investment banking or large technology corporates are not for you, and you are looking for a completely new challenge.

Whilst your background so far in financial services, business, or international development will be of interest to the client, it’s your energy, drive and can-do mentality that will set you apart. You will need to be naturally outgoing and enjoy interaction with a wide variety of people at all levels, and of different cultures and business disciplines.

You must be an EU citizen and fluent in English. Other languages would be a definite advantage.
