IT Developer\Engineer III
HP.com tech organization is looking for a highly motivated Enterprise Search Administrator. You will be responsible for administering search services for hp.com and internal employee portal. In addition, the individual will also be involved in implementation of different search engine technologies within HP for its customer and employee facing search. You will work with very talented team of search integration consultants and developers. In addition, this individual will be responsible for deep troubleshooting of production problems as required. A key component of this work will be to identify and resolve system problems by means of analyzing logs from WLS and FAST search engine. He/she will receive work direction from an experienced technical lead and will work closely with other developers as well as the HP Support organization.
Key Responsibilities include:

· Building and maintaining monitors for search services and components
· Fine turn search engine performance
· Work with HP infrastructure team to justify hardware
· Troubleshoot issues
· Analyze query logs and fine tune search results and ranking
· Participate in solution designs and implement search capabilities enhancements.
· Stay “hand-on” with technologies used for Search services
· Work with business and IT leaders to help ensure IAP meets the search, navigation needs for hp.com
· Fine tune FQL queries for performance
· Setup operational process and operational metrics for the solution.
· Review operational metrics on a regular basis for trend analysis and take pro-active actions for operational excellence.
· Do regular capacity planning to ensure system can handle projected volume growth.
· Review existing architecture for performance issues, security issues, and availability issues. Make recommendations and provide guidance to the design team.
· Participate in discussions with high-level technical teams from our internal partners.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
· BS Degree in computer science or a related field with 4+ years of experience in managing large scale solutions implementations in a large size enterprise.
· Strong knowledge of FAST ESP platform, functions, and processes
· Experience with Linux operating system.
· Experience implementing customer facing high volume solutions using Search Technology. FAST ESP experience is a must.
· Experience with Search Relevancy Tuning
· Experience and strong knowledge of web experience management, web technologies, portals, and personalization.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong knowledge of FAST ESP platform, functions, and processes
· Experience with Linux operating system.
· Experience implementing customer facing high volume solutions using Search Technology. FAST ESP experience is a must.
· Experience with Search Relevancy Tuning
· Experience and strong knowledge of web experience management, web technologies, portals, and personalization.
