Digital Campaigner - freelance contract

The position is for the following dates:
    30th September - 15th November, 4 days a week
    18th November  - 6 December, 2 days a week

Purpose of the role

Working as part of the UK Digital and Campaigns teams you will work closely with the Digital Campaigner to create and promote a campaign site to challenge tax dodging in developing countries. You will also work to support the day-to-day digital campaigning work, including updating the website, supporting email drafting, monitoring and drafting responses and promotional posts for social media.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new campaign to tackle tax dodging.

Key tasks

  • To assist with the project management of our next campaign website
  • Working with internal teams and external agencies (as appropriate) to develop engaging online campaign content
  • Supporting the Digital Campaigner to promote the campaign, attract new audiences and generate sign-ups. Including supporting outreach to online influencers in advance of the campaign launch
  • Monitoring social media and drafting appropriate responses
  • Assisting the Digital Campaigner with a variety of campaigns work, including drafting proactive social media, updating the website and supporting with campaigner emails

Person specification

  • Experience of managing digital projects and working with external agencies to deliver a project
  • Ability to work within a team and communicate effectively with other team members (Digital Campaigner, Digital Producer)
  • Some experience of digital campaigning with a campaigning organisation
  • Experience of managing social media contact within specified brand and key message guidelines
  • Ability to work within brand and key message guidelines for online communication
  • Experience with web design and content management systems
  • A good eye for online design
  • Desirable: a working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Desirable: experience building on the Engaging Networks platform
