Information Systems Specialist Student Services
Jefferson Community College, Watertown, NY, part of the State University of New York (SUNY) System, is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Information Systems Specialist, to begin December 1, 2013.
The successful candidate will assist functional student service areas with setup, training, integration, troubleshooting and reporting for Banner and related information systems. This position focuses on improving enrollment processes including, but not limited to, financial aid, registration, admissions, and student billing. Working with the Enrollment Management and Student Life division and Institutional Technology staff, the incumbent will research issues and implement student services best practices at Jefferson Community College.

Required: Bachelor's degree and three years of appropriate professional experience.
Preferred: Experience in financial aid with an understanding of Federal and State regulations; experience with Degree Works software, in particular, scribing and maintenance operations; functional knowledge of Ellucian's BANNER or equivalent; technological experience working with integrated systems; proficiency in report writing, query and extract tools; ability to innovate and improve processes; ability to multitask and meet deadlines; ability to work well with diverse populations and independently; and excellent communication skills.
