Professor of Entrepreneurship
The Department of Management, Technology, and Economics (www.mtec.ethz.ch) at ETH Zurich invites applications for the above-mentioned full professorship.
The Department is an interdisciplinary unit housing such functions as strategic management, technology and innovation management, human resource management, operations and supply chain management, information systems, risk management, and economics.
Qualifications for this professorship include a Ph.D. in entrepreneurship or in a related area, an ability to publish in leading international journals in the field, own practical experience and knowledge in entrepreneurship, a demonstrated commitment to quality graduate and executive teaching, the ability and willingness to forge strong outreach activities with business organizations and particularly start-ups, and the motivation to contribute service to the department. The future professor possesses the ability to successfully develop the research area on a high international level with relevant research projects. Preference will be given to candidates with experience or research interests in areas compatible with the department’s focus on the management of technology, innovation and risk. Preference will also be given to candidates with experience in connecting to companies and delivering practice-oriented contributions. Prior experience in industry or in own start-up activities is a strong plus. The new professor will be expected to teach undergraduate level courses (German or English) and graduate level courses (English).
