Head of Equity
Triple Jump is a dynamic, growing and ambitious fund manager with its head office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We offer professional fund management services to investors, and provide loans and equity investments to banks and microfinance institutions (MFIs) worldwide. Thanks to six different funds, each with a specific target group and risk profile, Triple Jump can provide financial services to financial institutions in all stages of their development. Triple Jump clients range from NGOs to regulated banks.
1. Expectations
As the Head of Equity you are responsible for building and managing a fully fledged equity team. Over the last four years, Triple Jump has been growing an equity portfolio and is currently managing 20 investments with a total value of over EUR 30 million. The investment focus will remain on direct investments as the team looks to add value through strategic shareholdership and active board participation. The portfolio is currently managed by a dedicated Equity Officer and designated Investment Officers. Triple Jump has the ambition to further grow its equity exposure and has decided to build a separate equity team. Subsequently Triple Jump is looking for a seasoned professional to lead this process.

2. Job Description
- Developing, managing and growing Triple Jump managed equity portfolios in emerging markets in a responsible manner;
- Actively contributing to the development of the portfolio companies (Financial Intermediaries), e.g. through participation in its Board of Directors (BoD);
- Leading, developing and mentoring the Equity Investment Officers team working in the regions;
- Working together with the Investor Relations department to raise funds for equity;
- Maintaining the firm’s profile by representing Triple Jump at conferences, speaking engagements, seminars, etc.
3. Qualifications
- Minimum of fifteen years of experience in Private Equity or as Equity Manager within a Development Financial Institution, bank or other financial institution;
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting required;
- Excellent structuring and valuation skills;
- Experience with fund structuring;
- Hands-on manager with the ability to handle all aspects of the deal process;
- Can do mentality, service-oriented, able to perform under pressure, team player;
- Strong network, excellent commercial, relationship management and follow-up skills;
- Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, Spanish and preferably French both orally and in writing.
