Programme Manager, Eurasia Programme

Salary: £50,947 per annum, plus excellent benefits
Based: London
We are seeking an exceptional candidate to lead our Eurasia programme. You will be responsible for leading and managing Alert’s ongoing Eurasia Programme in the former Soviet Union, ensuring it is staffed by talented and motivated people, sustainably funded, based on a sound strategy which is implemented and evaluated with a discernable impact on peace, and is complementary to and linked with the efforts of others.
You will have a talent for leading and motivating others in identifying and realising innovative peacebuilding programmes in complex environments. As an experienced manager, you communicate clearly and persuasively in English and Russian, and have worked in the Eurasia region for several years. You have a high degree of emotional intelligence, and are experienced in developing strategy and designing and implementing peacebuilding or similar projects. You combine an entrepreneurial flair with a strong analytical capacity, to develop convincing project ideas and raise funds from institutional donors.
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, you will have at least 5 years successful experience in project/programme management, including people management and funds management, a strong and proven capacity to lead and manage teams, along with extensive experience of implementing peacebuilding or related work in the Eurasia region.
