Public Relations/Marketing Manager

euRobotics AISBL is a Brussels based international non-profit association according to Belgian law to strengthen the bond between all stakeholders in European robotics, including industry, research, education, politics and technology transfer. One of the association’s main missions is to collaborate in SPARC, a Public-Private Partnership with the European Commission, to develop and implement a strategy and a roadmap for research, technological development and innovation in robotics. Since its establishment in Sep 2012, euRobotics has established a highly successful standing with now 190 members (and is still growing). Its successful launch of SPARC on 3 June 2014 created a very high level of momentum.
Due to the continuing growth in size and importance, we are looking for a
Public Relations/Marketing Manager (f/m)
Responsibilities:
------------------------
  • Develop multi-channel marketing and communication strategies and execute them in line with the objectives of the Association;
  • Develop and implement concepts for marketing and membership development vis-à-vis the different stakeholders prominently for industry and the European Commission.
  • Communication centralised around the web-site and from there to all other means of communication, including brochures, videos, graphics, photography, newsletters;
  • Write contact letters, newsletters, press releases.
  • Organise press conferences, meetings, and pro-actively raise interest of the European press
  • Spokesperson of the Secretary-General when requested.
  • Responsible for the budget on PR and marketing and for contracts with external subcontractors.

Pursue the objectives of the Association and of SPARC which are to boost European robotics research, development and innovation to the benefit of European economy and society. In particular:
  • encourage the widest and best uptake of robotics technologies and services for professional and private use;
  • independent initiatives and work but in close cooperation with the Secretary-General;
  • identify members’ expectations and react appropriately.
Your profile
----------------
  • About 3-6 years’ qualified experience in marketing /communications in industry or industry-minded organisations;
  • Interest in robotics technology and its role in society;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Creative in promoting robotics and in developing new communication approaches;
  • Excellent technical skills with PC, CMS and all other media;
  • University degree in communication/marketing or equivalent;
  • Fluent in English and ideally in at least one other EU language;
  • Stress-resistant.
Salary and benefits are based on experience and are performance related. We offer an interesting, challenging and varied position in a motivated, but small international team. The position is based in Brussels with occasional European travel (e.g. workshops, conferences). Full or nearly full-time position.
