Public Engagement Director - Mongolia

The Public Engagement Director - Mongolia will provide strategic leadership in public engagement department to enhance the credibility of WV Mongolia by raising awareness and understanding of WV Mongolia’s mission and vision; to develop and influence key policy makers and external partners in promoting Child Protection and Children’s Rights and other program interventions (HIV/AIDs, Anti-trafficking etc.) that supports Child Well Being Outcomes; and enhance WV Mongolia’s public visibility, reputation and brand name recognition. The position also requires establishing and maintaining various relationships including corporate, government and international communities to contribute towards child well-being and strategic intent of the World Vision Mongolia.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Advice and support the National Director (ND) in his/her her leadership and engagement on critical issues relating to public engagement (PE).
- Lead the development and implementation of PE’s secondary strategy and business plan in support of and in alignment with country strategy and priorities and global strategies and priorities.
- Lead the functional teams in development of annual plan and clear team performance objectives and indicators.
- Ensure that PE team adhere to proper protocols and procedures and consistent WV brand when engaging external stakeholders.
- Share best practices and lessons learned in PE practices and tools that will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Public Relations or any related undergraduate degree.
- Diploma in Management, MBA, Leadership studies or any related graduate degree.
- Proven networking and collaborative skills.
- Knowledge of media protocols, graphic and web design and advocacy.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate, analyse and solve complex issues and create solutions.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Minimum of 4- 5 years experience in advocacy/ communications.
- At least 2-3 yrs experience in management.
