Water monitoring task force Iraq: Team Leader
Project Description:
The contractor is tasked with the development of an Integrated Monitoring System for selected governorates in Iraq. Together with local established Task Forces, the contractor is responsible for introducing a robust and comprehensive monitoring system covering the entire water supply chain from source to end users, including waste-water monitoring, in the 10 identified governorates.
The contractor will establish technical specifications, identify suitable suppliers, train local authorities on the management of the monitoring system, the corresponding data analysis and reporting, and will also establish an adequate manual for failure response procedures.
The Team Leader is the main expert responsible for all project activities; technical, administrative, financial and logistic aspects of the project. The Team Leader will manage the project staff.

Qualifications and skills:
University degree with a PhD or Master in Engineering or equivalent field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Knowledge of Arabic (spoken, reading) is a strong advantage.
General Professional Experience:
Minimum of 20 years working experience participating in and leading water and sanitation projects.
At least five years of experience of water monitoring or related projects proving knowledge of water quality monitoring and testing.
Working experience in the MENA region (preferably in Iraq).
