Senior Ornithologist

We are seeking an adviser on coastal avian and ecology issues, with specific experience in ornithology and have both project management and technical quality responsibilities. They will produce Ornithology and Ecology EIA chapters and prepare Environmental Statements, studies to inform Appropriate Assessment, marine licence applications and provide advice to nationally significant infrastructure applications. The role involves:

• Prepare specialist technical input as required, including data analysis and report writing. Undertake technical studies for Screening, Scoping and EIA and Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA
• Research and summarise relevant published and unpublished ornithological/ environmental/ ecological data
• Managing and interpreting the findings of surveys, analyses and research to inform impact assessment and planning
• Engage constructively with relevant stakeholders to ensure EIA and HRA requirements are understood and defined
• Monitor relevant literature to keep abreast of advances in understanding of relevant consenting matters
• Contribute to the development of the business
• Share knowledge and skills across the Cambridge and London offices
• Contribute to marketing and business development.
