Administrative Coordinator - BD

The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) is a nonprofit membership organization that promotes the health of women and newborns.
The association is currently seeking an experienced to provide administrative support to the Vice President, Business Development, Director, Development and other department staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide general administrative support to the Vice President, Director of Development and other department staff as needed. Assist department staff with special projects.
  • Primary point person for updating, adding and maintaining donor and prospect records in database.
  • Process donations and prepare acknowledgement letters and other correspondence.
  • Run development lists and reports from iMIS.
  • Maintain individual donor files.
  • Assist in the preparation and scheduling of meetings.
  • Assist in drafting correspondence and proposals.
  • Conduct research on prospects, including individuals, corporations and foundations identified by Director of Development as potential sources of funds for specific projects.
  • Maintain event and project database and conduct event analysis.
  • Develop materials for posting on association website.
  • Respond to phone calls and email inquiries regarding giving program, etc.
  • Process department check requests and track department expenses.
  • Perform database maintenance and clean-up projects to improve data integrity and database performance.
Qualification Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. At least 3 to 5 years' administrative experience supporting projects and programs at progressively higher levels positions preferably in a not for profit. Experience in creating and maintaining databases. Strong organizational, administration and interpersonal communications. Analytical skills and an ability to identify and utilize information resources. Ability to prioritize multiple and constantly changing tasks, remain flexible often under very tight deadlines. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in donor tracking and database tracking desirable. Demonstrated skill coordinating/managing projects. Demonstrated ability and versatility to work both independently as well as within a team environment.
