Team Leader - Empowerment for better livelihoods
Description
The overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is as follows:
To contribute to livelihoods enhancement, equity and inclusion of people dependent on the informal economy by improving the quality and coherence of EU actions on this area, including Call for Proposals 135181 "Empowerment for better livelihoods, including skills development and vocational and education training (VET), for marginalised and vulnerable persons, and people dependent on the informal economy" (AAP 2013).
Qualifications Required Only the experts meeting the set criteria will be shortlisted and contacted.
- Master's degree in an area of human sciences or economics or equivalent
Professional Experience Required
General professional experience
- At least 10 years working experience in development projects/programmes preparation, implementation or monitoring.
- The TL has to demonstrate a proven experience as team leader in various projects with CSOs, with proven experience in the monitoring or evaluation of projects.
Specific professional experience
- At least 5 years working experience in the human development sector in developing countries.
- The TL has to demonstrate experience in the preparation/implementation/evaluation of different components of projects in relation with informal economy, employment, social protection …
- The TL shall report to the ESIP Team in Brussels on a periodic manner and shall have ad hoc meetings in Brussels periodically (each 4 months approximately) to coordinate with the ESIP Team
- He/She will act as a single contact point during the entire contract.
- It would be a strong advantage if the TL has knowledge of EC procedures (DCI, call for proposals, contract and finance guidelines, tender evaluation, etc).
- Working knowledge of English and French is essential. Knowledge of other languages of the CfP is desirable (PT or ES). Language skills may be verified during the evaluation process.
- No translation fees for EN and FR will be funded by the Contracting Authority under this contract, therefore it is essential that the TL can read and write both in EN and FR.
Duration: 48 months (min 500 work days)
Commencement: 1 January 2015.
