Free Press Unlimited is currently seeking to hire (as soon as possible): An ICT Security Trainer. Up to 60 journalists, from Middle-Eastern media outlets, will be trained in journalism and production skills, fundamentals and ethics of journalism including reporting on human rights and gender sensitive issues. From a total of 16 workshop, four of them will be on and ICT security and psycho-social including GVB for journalists - 2 + 2 days for each workshop, 15 trainees per workshop. The workshops will be a mix of theory and practice to ensure rich experience learning. The accent is on security awareness and learning/assess the use of indispensable tools. The expert trainer would cooperate with the psycho-social trainer to design a full 4 days training.

- To design layout for training;
- To assess needs and establish relations with trainees
- To train a group of media practitioners in the Middle East on ICT security for journalists: awareness, PC and Internet security, essential tools and practice, information security;
- To have good assessment tools that can be used to evaluate the training and the trainees' performances;
- To have methodology on how to deliver effectively but also to transfer knowledge in a measurable (SMART) way;
- To report on the results of the training and give recommendations to the trainees and to Free Press Unlimited.
We're looking for an energetic and driven individual with:
- Proven educational background and/or work experience as a trainer in a similar or the designated field;
- Experience with ICT security and secure communication for journalists, PC and Internet security and information security;
- Know how/practice in OS and non OS systems;
- Fluency in Arabic and English, written and spoken;
- Ability to monitor, evaluate, and recognise weaknesses and strengths of the trainees.
- Good communication and inter-cultural skills; able to effectively communicate with trainees, other trainers and supervisors;
- Pedagogical/teaching skills;
- Available for at least 16 full time days, in a period of 6 months.
