Senior Program Manager- eMTCT and Pediatric HIV
The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) works in partnership with country governments, partners, and other major stakeholders to identify the key obstacles to access and scale-up of essential health services and to develop sustainable strategies to overcome them. CHAI’s solution-oriented approach focuses on improving market dynamics for medicines and diagnostics; lowering prices for treatment; accelerating access to life-saving vaccines and technologies; and helping governments build the capacity required for high-quality care and treatment programs.
The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is looking for a Senior Program Manager, eMTCT & Pediatric HIV. The Program Manager will be a part of a growing eMTCT & Pediatric HIV team, which is primarily responsible for driving strategy development and execution of country and global activities to achieve ambitious, but achievable impact on new pediatric HIV infections, pediatric ART coverage, and pediatric mortality from HIV/AIDS. The primary goal of our pediatric HIV treatment scale-up work is to close the gap between adult and pediatric HIV coverage rates in 7-10 countries over the next 3-5 years, while moving towards eliminating pediatric HIV in the long-term.
CHAI is working with partner governments to reduce new pediatric infections and improve the long-term survival of all children affected by HIV/AIDS across several focus countries in the next three years. The Program Manager will be responsible for planning, supervising and implementing project activities, and will work closely with the relevant Country Team Program Managers, Analysts, and stakeholders in CHAI focus countries and with the rest of the global eMTCT & Pediatric HIV team. The Program Manager will report to the Director of eMTCT & Pediatric HIV.
The Program Manager will oversee key analyses around major eMTCT/peds programmatic issues, particularly related to the impact of scaling up interventions such as mHealth, Provider-Initiated testing and Counseling outside of eMTCT, integrated service delivery models to improve retention etc. S/he will also help design high-impact interventions to translate the results of relevant analyses into actionable plans and changes in policy and operations at global and country levels. S/he will be responsible for all aspects of program management including planning, budgeting, knowledge management, qualitative and quantitative analysis, implementation, and reporting. S/he will assist in developing concept notes for new eMTCT & Pediatric HIV projects. This is a challenging but rewarding position, which will have direct impact on thousands of children in need of life-saving treatment.
