Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS) is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global market-leading manufacturer of tools and tooling systems for advanced industrial metal cutting. Products are manufactured in cemented carbide and other hard materials such as diamond, cubic boron nitride and special ceramics.
We are now looking for a Senior Technical Specialist for the SMS Global Real Estate management team.
Key performance areas
As a Technical Specialist you will with focus on the real estate technical media system throughout the whole real estate and facility management lifecycle, support, coordinate and develop the SMS organization in Real Estate (RE) and on building project management issues.
You will work for suitable flexible and standardized production facilities globally, provide the company with knowledge about developing and maintaining guidelines, standards and project models in the Real Estate area. Furthermore, your role will include supporting and training local real estate management teams in the building and site media system.
The Real Estate function within SMS provides the company support for project processes, energy surveys and best practice. The RE function also controls the company's property and project portfolio as well as the space management process, with cost and area calculations and environmental impact reports.
You will report to our Global Real Estate Manager within the SMS Production Technology function.
International travel up to 25-50% of the time is included in this position.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant degree in Building-/Energy-/Civil Engineering/Real Estate Management, or who has equivalent knowledge acquired in another manner. You have at least ten years of international experience and good foundations both theoretically and practically from previous work in the area. To be well suited for this role, good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are prerequisite. You also have good computer skills, including use of the MS Office suite, and the ability to summarize and present information to Senior Management.
