BUSINESS LINE MANAGER - PARTS & SERVICES – WEST AFRICA
Description:
You will be responsible for the effective delivery of Services and Sales of Parts and Components across all product lines within West Africa. This includes, but not limited to, managing asset agreements, service centers (incl. field service), parts marketing &sales and customertraining. In addition you will also play a supportive role to business development in the Region, supporting the Equipment Sales function as well as Product Line Management functions. The position is based inAccra, Ghana, but would require significant travel within the sub-region
Key Performance Areas:
•As BLM: Parts & Services, you will report directly to the Sales Area Manager and ensure overall business performance of all Parts and Service activities within the Sales Area. Specifically, you would be required to:
•Develop and implement a customer service strategy for Parts and Services through the creation of Customer Value Propositions that proactively create business opportunities for Sandvik in West Africa.
•Work with the Equipment Sales Team to grow the Components, Parts and Services businesses across all product lines.
•Develop the Equipment and Component Rebuild business
•Develop direct Customer Relationships with Key Clients
•Develop Customer Technical and Operator Training Business
•Work with the service team to Solve Customers’ Technical problems.
•Manage all Customer Service Resources in West Africa to ensure an optimum Balance between a high level Customer Satisfaction and attainment of agreed Financial Objectives.
•Hire, Train, Mentor, Motivate, Evaluate and Lead team members across West Africa to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Business.
Your profile:
You should be a results-oriented individual with relevant consultative and analytical skills. A Degree-qualified engineer or possession of appropriate trade background with equivalent technical experience. Post-Graduate qualifications in Business management is required. Minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar senior management role is preferred. Exposure to international markets along with strong cross-cultural awareness, particularly in remote challenging environments, is desirable. French language skills would be highly regarded. Competency in LEAN Six Sigma methodology will be added advantage.
This role will require significant travel around the West African Region, away from your base for up to 50% of the time. This is a residential role based in Accra, Ghana.
