Teaching Fellow in Culture, Creativity and Entrepreneurship
Location: Leeds - Main Campus
Faculty/Service: Faculty of Performance, Visual Arts & Communications
Contract Type: Fixed Term (for 1 year from 21 September 2015)
Part time, 40% of full time
You will work with the School to teach in the areas of cultural theory, the creative industries and cultural entrepreneurship. An MA (or equivalent) in a related subject area and previous experience of teaching in higher education are essential. You must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A PhD (or pending completion) in a related field is highly desirable.
You will play a full role in the normal pattern of teaching within the School and undertake appropriate administrative and pastoral responsibilities commensurate with the level and nature of the post.
The identity of the School of Performance and Cultural Industries builds on two related factors: its breadth of address to all levels of performance (from the processes of the performer to public policy); and its expertise in cultural policy and in arts and cultural management. The School is located in the heart of the University of Leeds campus, with its major teaching and research facilities based in two buildings, one of which also houses the University’s public licensed theatre.
