Sandvik IT Global Shared Services is a support function with the mission of meeting the IT needs of Sandvik's business globally. This is done in an international environment, within various areas of responsibilities, such as IT architecture, management systems, process development, IT security and IT support. Today, about 850 people in approximately 40 countries work in IT Global Shared Services at Sandvik.
Data Center Service is a focus area within Sandvik IT Global Shared Services and it is entering an interesting phase. The overall transformation to a service integrator has startedand we are now working on enabling cloud service and transforming the service model to a global model. As the data center is transforming and expanding into countries and regions using a partner model, we are now looking for a Data Center Service Area Manager with experience from global IT delivery and managing IT delivery to business. Mainly, you will lead data center operations globally and design the new operational model and service. The location for this position will be based in Sandviken or in Kista, Stockholm.
Key performance areas
As Data Center Service Area Manager we place major demands on your management skills and vendor management skills. You are responsible for managing outsourcing environments and stakeholders and ensuring delivery to customers, and are accountable to management for every aspect of the service production. Service levels are followed up both externally and internally and you have full management responsibility for delivery and quality. You contribute to the overall development of Infrastructure Services within Global Standard Services and maintain the service improvement plan. Responsibility for the work environment, including safety and rehabilitation is included in this role.
International travel is required in this position.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Business Administration or IT, or equivalent education. You are experienced within the field of global IT, both in delivery and management. Being well suited for this role also requires having strong customer relations management skills. You have previous experience from a managerial position with budget responsibility and good understanding of the Datacenter area, as well as knowledge in the effective use of the processes regarding Datacenter services. You are also a skilled communicator in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
