INDUSTRIAL PROCESS ENGINEER

Key Performance Areas
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Industrial Process Engineer for our Alachua, FL drilling and mining equipment facility, you primary focus will be in analyzing, optimizing and improving production assembly operations and processes. You will lead efforts to create production efficiencies, develop and implement continuous improvement methods, reduce bottlenecks, determine root cause analysis as needed
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Industrial Process Engineer for our Alachua, FL drilling and mining equipment facility, you primary focus will be in analyzing, optimizing and improving production assembly operations and processes. You will lead efforts to create production efficiencies, develop and implement continuous improvement methods, reduce bottlenecks, determine root cause analysis as needed
Additionally, the Industrial Process Engineer will:
- Review, document, analyze, monitor and improve assembly production methods and processes
- Be responsible for creating efficiencies and cost saving in the assembly process through including setting up of cells, work load, transportation system, part staging, etc.
- Perform time studies
- Assist in leading in the initiative of conversion from an Assembly Bay to Assembly Line production model
- Continually monitor assembly and manufacturing process flows and line balancing, and adjust for the enhancements efficiencies, quality, and cost reduction
- Develop work instructions and SOP’s as needed.
- Be a leader in a Safety-First work environment and support continuous improvement initiatives
Your profile:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (Industrial / Mechanical / Manufacturing preferred) and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience. Candidates should have a background in a relevant industry such as heavy equipment, automotive or similar industry. Applicants should also possess the ability to prioritize multiple projects and work collaboratively and cross-organizationally. Additionally you should possess:
- Direct experience in an Assembly Line production environment and improving industrial automation processes which include line balancing and time studies.
- Experience in an industry such as automotive, drilling / mining equipment, heavy vehicles, or similar is highly preferred.
- Have experience in continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, VSM, Six Sigma)
- Basic experience with CAD systems such as AutoCAD or Unigraphics (NX) is a plus
