Purpose of the Position
Under the overall direction of the Gulf Area Representative, the Fundraising Manager, (based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates) and under the direct supervision of the Fundraising Specialist, (Riyadh, KSA), and as part of an integrated (public and private sector) approach to resource mobilization in the region, the incumbent will develop and drive the establishment and growth of strategic partnerships with the public and private sector (with a focus on corporate engagement and corporate partnerships) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to maximize resources and support for UNICEF programs to achieve results for children.

Key Expected Results

1. Support in coordinating high level engagement with key donors in KSA promote, advocate, mobilize and influence cooperation with UNICEF to ensure the attainment of UNICEF’s goals and objectives, in collaboration with the Fundraising Specialist, the Fundraising Manager and the Gulf Area Representative.
2. Develops and maintains funding partnerships with donors/partners in KSA (all donor types, focus on corporate engagement).
3. Contributes to the development and updating of the Gulf RM strategy and to annual work planning with a focus on corporate engagement in KSA, through the provision of market knowledge of KSA, and with technical expertise.
4. Develop an annual work plan after implementing the appropriate market research for the introduction and implementation of a methodological and profitable fundraising program in KSA for all income channels but with a focus on corporate engagement, corporations and corporate foundations, including a budget for expenses and projected revenues.
5. Act as the focal point for KSA donors- primarily corporates and some foundations- for RM-related issues. Effectively respond to, drive and manage fundraising inquiries for these sectors and donor-types, including the activation of global fundraising campaigns and initiatives in the KSA market and the driving of UNICEF’s corporate engagement there. 
6. Drive higher awareness and visibility of existing KSA partnerships to leverage additional support for UNICEF, including through the development of an action plan for participation in donor-stewardship related events.
7. Maintain up to date donor data and track effectively and systematically the donor management cycle (moves management system). Ensures effective use of donor funds and donor satisfaction, from proposal, fund implementation to reporting in collaboration with the RM team in Dubai.
8. Perform other duties as required to contribute to the achievement of UNICEF’s goals for resource mobilization in the Gulf Area as part of an integrated approach to resource mobilization.

Qualifications of Successful Candidate
- A first level University degree in international development, social sciences, business administration, management, marketing or fundraising. Relevant experience in KSA would be an asset.
- Minimum five years of relevant and progressively responsible work experience, at least three of which should be in fundraising and/or philanthropy preferably in KSA and/or whilst dealing with KSA corporate donors/partners. Knowledge of fundraising and philanthropy is required in the context of Gulf/MENA in general and KSA in particular.
- Excellent computer skills with Word, excel and Powerpoint. Highly developed drafting ability in English. Advanced command of Arabic would be an asset.
