The Business, Markets and the State cluster is seeking to recruit a new Fellow that will enable it to play a leading role in establishing IDS and the Business and Development Centre (BDC) as an internationally-recognised centre for policy-oriented research on business, markets and the state in development, with research capabilities in building understanding of the conditions under which business and market systems enable or constrain development pathways towards sustainable and inclusive economic growth and the alleviation of poverty.
The successful applicant will define and undertake relevant research in collaboration with colleagues in the cluster and the BDC more widely. They will engage on an ongoing basis with stakeholders in the public, private and civil society sectors globally, working collaboratively with research partners in developing and emerging economies in the broad area of business and development.
They will be expected to contribute to building and sustaining an effective team working on business and development through successful fundraising activities
Salary: Grade 8, £43,047 - £53,507 per annum, pro rata
