The local finance & project officer (LFPO) will support SPARK’s country manager in the above four countries to manage the country specific activities for a project providing access to Higher Education for Syrian refugees in the region. Tasks include, but are not limited to, managing all administration and financial aspects related to student registration, selection, intake and monitoring in, scholarship payments and monitoring, as well as all administration and financial aspects related to agreements with participating HE institutions and tuition payments. The LFPO will also support the country manager in all outreach activities in the country, including heading the student desk. The position will require extensive travelling throughout the country.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Overall (financial) administration for the office and project activities;
- Monitoring and data entry of all student registration, selection, intake and monitoring;
- Monitoring of all financial agreements with participating HE providers and tuition payments;
- Organize and coordinate outreach activities with local partners, throughout the country and in (informal) camps.
- Provide organizational and logistical support for other missions and ongoing activities in the country
- Other tasks as required.
Requirements and Skills:
- Educational background or relevant experience in Financial Management, Project management and/or Education Sector
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in administrative and financial management in projects
- Proven working experience in [country] in similar field of work
- Good communication and social skills and the ability to work in a multicultural setting.
- Accurate, structured and precise;
- Multitasking;
- Flexible and responsible;
- Fluent in English and Arabic is necessary.
- Fluent in [Kurdish/Turkish] is an advantage.
