SENIOR/PRINCIPAL INVESTMENT OFFICERS ASSOCIATE/INVESTMENT OFFICERS
IFC is the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in developing countries. IFC is seeking to recruit a number of investment professionals for its Infrastructure Group in Sub-Saharan Africa. This group is responsible for sourcing and executing investment transactions in the power, transport and utilities sectors, which is a top strategic priority for IFC.
IFC is recruiting Investment Officers to join our mainstream equity and investment business; they will originate, structure and execute infrastructure transactions in Sub-Saharan Africa. These transactions may see IFC invest using a vast array of products from senior secured loans, to mezzanine and/or straight equity. In addition to these traditional investment activities, the Investment Officers may be involved in transactions undertaken by IFC InfraVentures, a US$150 million equity fund established by IFC to provide risk capital and expertise for the early stage development of infrastructure projects.
Investment Officers for both IFC’s equity and investment business, as well as for IFC InfraVentures, have a proven track record in originating, structuring and closing complex project finance transactions. At the Senior and Principal level, they also have solid experience in the infrastructure industry and in leading highly qualified teams. To be considered for IFC InfraVentures, experience in project development is particularly valued.
All positions require an advanced educational background, knowledge of or experience in working in emerging markets (preferably Sub-Saharan Africa), excellent client management, negotiation and interpersonal skills, the willingness to work across borders and to travel internationally. Our working language is English; French language skills are required for positions based in francophone countries and an advantage in other locations. Knowledge of other languages, such as Portuguese, would also be valued.
Positions may be based in Nairobi, Accra, Johannesburg or Dakar. For full job descriptions and to apply on-line, click on the "Apply" button and then select job numbers 152180 and 152181. Deadline is November 30, 2015.
