Appointment of Director of Operations

Climate-KIC is the EU’s largest public private partnership addressing climate change through innovation to build a low carbon economy. We address climate change across four priority themes: (i) Urban Transitions, (ii) Sustainable Production Systems, (iii) Metrics, Finance and Decision-making and (iv) Climate Smart Land Use. We are seeking to appoint a Director of Operations.
Reporting to the CEO s/he will be accountable for the integrity of the business model across geographies and themes, including the design, development, operation and improvement of processes, procedures, supporting structures and systems that make Climate-KIC an excellent management organisation. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of operational leadership in a complex, multinational organisation with expertise in personnel, budgeting and financial administration and project management experience from major academic and/or industrial undertakings. While driving improved impact and performance s/he will ensure that business excellence is at the heart of meeting the organisation’s operational and partner needs.

This is a three-year assignment. Remuneration will be consistent for a leadership role in this sector. The appointee can be based at any of the six Co-Location Centres (Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland or UK). Terms and conditions will depend on location.
