Driven by a belief in the importance of fairness, democracy and sustainability, we work with policy makers, civil society and business organisation, and with all political parties in all parts of the United Kingdom, including through our dedicated IPPR North and IPPR Scotland teams in Manchester, Newcastle and Edinburgh.
We are looking for a new Director to succeed Nick Pearce and lead the organisation – 45 strong over 4 locations – through our next phase of development. This will be a challenging role, demanding exceptional political, intellectual and managerial skills.
The new Director will combine strong political acumen with intellectual flair. S/he will have a strong track record in public policy development and a proven ability to manage a complex organisation, and be capable of inspiring and motivating staff to reach the highest standards attainable. The Director will be expected to represent the organisation at the highest levels of government, politics, business, the voluntary sector, and the media. In addition, they will play a crucial role in managing strategic funding relationships and will ensure that IPPR’s research remains at the cutting-edge of public policy.
