Duties: This is a multi skilled position and candidates will be expected to carry out a broad range of activities. They will assist in the collection development and management of a team assigned to them, plan and develop information services to meet customer needs, assist in indexing and abstracting local materials, processing records for the digital library, provide reference services and delivery of information literacy training to customers. Requirements: A Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in any academic discipline; Bachelors degree in Library and Information Studies preferred. At least one year relevant work experience in a computerized library environment; preferably in an academic library. The incumbent is expected to have the following qualities: service oriented; ICT and Internet searching skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills; excellent supervisory skills. Ability to work independently within existing policy frameworks.
