Operations Manager - Timor-Leste

• 24 month project role

About the role

This role will be responsible for delivering effective financial, human resource, IT and administrative management services for the Timor-Leste Program. This position will also provide strong leadership to technical teams in-country and play an integral role in developing the professional and management skills of national staff in collaboration with the other senior management in-country.

Key selection criteria

• Demonstrated leadership skills across a range of diverse stakeholders in a complex environment.
• More than 3 years proven finance experience in an international setting, ideally with an INGO.
• Understanding/ full working knowledge of manual accounting systems plus AccPac or similar accounting software.
• Significant experience in grant accounting, project budgeting and donor reporting in a range of formats.
• Experience in long-term financial and organisational planning.
• Experience working with and securing funds from a range of international donors, including AusAID.
• Experience in capacity building and developing in-house Human Resources and Administrative functions and systems.
• Finance/accounting tertiary qualifications preferred
• Fluency in English with local languages highly regarded
• Computer literacy and driving license required
