Development Temporary Assistant

Job Summary:
Full-time temporary position (up to 4 months); provides general administrative support for the Development office.

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide general administrative support for Development staff, including answering office phones, greeting visitors, sorting and distributing mail, and responding to both internal and external inquiries.

• Type, copy, proofread, distribute, and file correspondence and communications.

• Schedule visits and meetings; assist with travel arrangements.

• Coordinate with “key partner” USF departments in support of Development operations including Business and Finance, Bon Appetit catering services, Events Scheduling, Public Safety, Facilities Management, and ITS.

• Manage sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.

• Order supplies, initiate and renew subscriptions.

Minimum Requirements:
• Reliable, responsible, conscientious, and self-motivated; ability to follow complex tasks to completion with minimal supervision.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling many duties simultaneously.

• Strong telephone, email, written and oral communication skills.

• Strong word processing skills and knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office.

• Excellent communication skills; professional, courteous, and highly service-oriented.

• Excellent administrative and organizational skills.

• Professional demeanor.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Perform other duties as assigned.
