HCT is seeking applications for Program Chair of Applied Media to manage the operation of Applied Media courses in the undergraduate and degree programs. The successful incumbent will ensure the instructional activities of the Applied Media Department enable students to achieve the performance objectives of their courses, and ensure the effective provision, development and operation of the Applied Media facilities to support the academic programs of the College. He/she will contribute actively to the College Management Team and develop as well as maintain strong partnerships with the profession, the community and HCT Colleges.

Requirements:
• Masters/PhD (desirable) degree in a relevant discipline
• Significant years of experience at a supervisory level
• Proven academic leadership including the development of programs and curricula in Applied Media
• Experience in the management of staff and students as well as extensive teaching and learning experience at the post-secondary level
• Professional experience in budget planning and implementation
• Extensive experience in a minimum of one program specialty area (media, journalism or graphic design) with experience in or working knowledge of the remaining areas
• Practical working experience in computers and related software and technology, with specific knowledge in media-related technology
• Overseas cross-cultural experience is an advantage
• Extensive industry experience
• Experience in curriculum management/development
